Cargo quantity, stowage factor, hold configuration, gear requirements and port limitations all inform suitability. Clear loading and discharge terms help counterparties assess the same voyage assumptions before discussing freight.
For a constructive chartering discussion, share the commodity, quantity and tolerance, load and discharge ranges, laycan and any special handling requirements. Vessel positions should include type, deadweight, opening date and relevant capacities.
